with customers who need
glasses or contact lenses. They most frequently wor
k in offices of optometrists,
health and persona; care stores. Opticians educatio
n and training varies, but
typically they have a minimum of a high school dipl
oma and undergo much of
their training in the workplace.

Opticians are eye care professionals who se
lect and fit contacts
and eyeglasses for patients. After an ophthalmologist w
rites a prescription,
dispensing opticians take eye measurements and determine
how a
patient's occupation, lifestyle and facial features aff
ect his or her eyewear
needs. On-the-job training or an apprenticeship can pr
ovide the training
needed to begin working in this profession; however,
some aspiring
opticians choose to pursue certificates or degrees in the f
ield. Licensure is
required in some states, and employers may prefer to h
ire those who are
certified.

don’t like looking at other peoples eyes or working
in a office
everyday and just talk to people about there eye.
